Dear Member,

We’re so pleased you’re planning to join us for the LLSBA 25th Anniversary Celebration!

The LLSBA has set aside space in our tent for a Country Store, offering all members in good standing the opportunity to sell their wares.  If you haven’t paid your membership dues for 2015, please do so as soon as possible.  The due date was January 31…

This is a great opportunity to those of you with no outlet for sales to promote your farm and talents – the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival is attended by ENORMOUS numbers of people from all over the country and beyond!

In order to sell your goods in the store, we must ask that you donate some of your time to help with sales during the festival. Even if you’re not planning to sell, we’d appreciate any help you could offer.

We are asking people to sign up for work in 2-hr shifts. The Country Store hours will be 9-6 on Saturday, May 2nd – and 9-5 on Sunday, May 3rd.  If you can work a shift, please provide the time of your choice by replying to this email.

But please do consider bringing something to sell!  Wool from purebred Leicester Longwool sheep in any form is welcome, including raw and washed fleeces and locks, pelts, roving, top, batts, felt, felting kits, drop spindle kits and yarn (handspun and millspun).  Purebred Leicester wool may also be blended with other fibers, natural or not (art yarn batts are popular).

Finished items made from purebred Leicester Longwool (and blends) are welcome – knitted and crocheted items, felted animals, ornaments, jewelry, etc…

Leicester-related artwork is also welcome – pottery, sculpture, paintings, cards, etc…

If you’re not sure whether your potential sale items qualify for the store, please contact me by replying to this email as soon as possible – or you can call me at 304-264-0411.

If you’d like to sell your items, please reply to this letter no later than March 15, 2015 with a general description of the items you plan to bring.

We will handle your items with the utmost care, and make every attempt to safeguard them from damage or theft.  However, the LLSBA and store volunteers are not liable for lost, stolen, broken, soiled, or otherwise damaged items.

See you in May!
